Read Books Library

ReadBooksLibrary is an SKSE plugin that lets you view books, notes, recipes, and image-based documents you have already read in a dedicated library window.

Whenever you read a book in-game, it is automatically registered to your library.

After that, you can open the library with a hotkey and read it again at any time.

No need to carry every book with you or remember where you found it.

Address Library for SKSE Plugins

Read any book, note, recipe, or document in-game.

Once it has been read, it will be added to ReadBooksLibrary automatically.

Open the library with the configured hotkey, then select the item you want to view.

Some maps or special books use Skyrim’s original 3D/model-based display or other special rendering methods.

These may not be fully reproduced inside the library window.

For those items, use the activation key to open the original Skyrim book view.

ReadBooksLibrary keeps its own record of read documents.

This may not always match Skyrim’s internal “read” state, especially when using debug functions.

Some HUD mods may remain visible while the library is open, depending on how those HUD elements are rendered.

This is a compatibility limitation with certain HUD mods.

A known example is Skyrim Party Sheet’s Follower HUD.

Compatibility with MiniMap Menu

When MiniMap Menu is open, ReadBooksLibrary input handling is disabled.

This is intentional and prevents input conflicts between MiniMap Menu and ReadBooksLibrary. While MiniMap Menu is active, the ReadBooksLibrary hotkey and in-window controls will not respond.

Please close MiniMap Menu before opening or using ReadBooksLibrary.

This behavior is a safety measure to prevent stuck input, loss of control, or potential crashes.
