Prop Hunt - Mimic Quest - A 2025 Merry Modding Days Mod

This mod is dedicated to my son, who was hospitalized for treatment due to serious dermatitis and viral infections.

Mod Description

The mod begins in Whiterun, in front of the Battle-Born clan's house. If the player decides to help a vigilant Stendarr whose companion has gone missing, they will be drawn into a series of prop hunts.

Seemingly simple and enjoyable hunts quickly turn into a fight for their lives. The difficulty of the hunts steadily increases, with new types of mimics and new ways of hiding. The mimics will put up increasingly fierce resistance, taking on increasingly inventive forms and becoming more willing to engage in combat.

This quest also has a hidden meaning. If the player hunts carefully, they will likely notice disturbing letters to an unknown recipient written by the mimics.

11 Quests in total this include:

9 standard quests with increasing difficulty, culminating in a wave-form boss fight.

2 special quests where you and Raven

, and a grand finale with the most unexpected and terrifying form a mimic could take.

About 80 different types of mimics: barrels, chairs, tables, random clutter, weapons, and even stuffed animals and Dwemer automatons!

Everything is set with respect to The Elder Scrolls lore, so as not to break the immersion and atmosphere of the world.

Lots of dialogue, dynamic reactions to the player's actions:

Did you make a mess during the hunt? - We'll deduct it from your reward!

Did you steal something? - You'll cover the costs!

Did you chicken out and run away? - Raven won't be pleased!

He remembers how you did last time, he can summarize your achievements so far!

Hidden (Christmas) meaning

Search hunting grounds carefully!

Each location contains hidden letters - reports to an unknown recipient.

Collecting these reports may influence how you view these quests.

How to Start

Head to Whiterun, and you'll meet Raven in front of the Battle-Born clan house.

While the first levels are easy to complete even on the first level, the further you progress, the more challenging the enemies become, causing the difficulty level to quickly escalate!
