v9 has very intelligent AI attitudes & behaviors for the thieves. Even supports multiple thieves working together in a heist against you, with one as a distraction. Sometimes they walk away, making you think they are just some merchant or beggar. They want to steal from your blind-spots (from behind you), are patient, and will act casual if you look at them; making thieves very hard to notice. "Is that a regular character's routine?", "Why is that character just staring at me", "Hey. He was outside the shop when I went in, too...", "Oh, god, he's following me and there are no guards around!", "Oh nevermind, he turned around and stopped", "Oh my god he is running towards me with a dagger!". There are different kinds of thieves, too. Some are patient, others are bold, and even some are quite nervous to let you know their intentions, head-on. More realism and a crapload of fun. Also featured, are Pickpocketing Bosses; Master thieves, and your local pickpocket rivals (project nemesis).

Description

Skyrim mod for 1. 6. 117, where a small part of the population in the world, are thieves. They don't necessarily belong to the thieves guild, but you will encounter them in cities, towns and along the roads. If you're stalked by a thief and bump into them, you might end up losing some gold. You will notice that your belongings feel lighter, but not right away. The NPC who stole from you plays it casual, that is, until you confront them about it. This mod makes Pickpocket and the Sneak perk more fun and useful. It also makes having a home, a very good idea to store your loot so it won't be stolen. Entirely changes how you play the game, and delivers countless hours of fresh fun! This one mod alone makes Skyrim into an entirely new game, that's more fun and lore-friendly (without removing anything).

Certain cities are less reputable than others, when it comes to pickpockets.

Bandits, creatures, quest-bearers, merchants and shopkeepers are except from being pickpockets. They thieve enough already with steep prices, savagery and unfair rewards.

Pair this mod with Thieves (they break into stores at night) for even better immersion. I also recommend Modern NPC Pathing so NPCs don't get stuck running in terrain. Make sure to install their dependencies if you use them.

Install it like any normal mod. Mod is incredibly stable and very awesome!

Main features

Who becomes a thief

• []Ordinary townsfolk have a small chance (default 1%) of being secretly a thief the first time they appear near you. Each NPC is rolled once.[/]

  []Who is excluded: unique, essential, or protected NPCs, vendors, quest characters, and non-human races. Only Nord, Imperial, Breton, and Redguard are eligible by default.[/]

  []Master thieves appear when you're carrying a lot of gold (default 10,000+), on a separate roll (default 1%). They're tougher (+200 health), steal a fixed large amount (default 10,000), and escape after a theft using either a speed boost or invisibility (never both).[/]

Thieves don't beeline at you. They move through three stages:

• []Loiter: they hang around at a distance like bystanders.[/]

  []Trail: they drift closer, staying out of your line of sight where they can.[/]

  []Stage: a short, deliberate walk-up from behind or beside you to bump into you.[/]

  []They watch whether you're looking. If you turn and spot a thief mid-approach, it aborts, acts casual, and tries again later.[/]
