Partial Form Patcher is a "just in time" patcher that runs when you launch the game. It keeps track of loaded forms, and makes sure that your intended visual and audio changes are forwarded, without you having to do anything, or having to deal with config files.

Partial Form Patcher achieves this through non-destructive, in memory patching. Simply put, when a form first loads, it takes a snapshot of its visuals and a snapshot of its audio. Then, as it loads again from other plugins, these snapshots get updated with the new information loaded, and visuals/audio are intelligently selected. When all forms are loaded at around when you can start a new game, Partial Form Patcher very rapidly iterates through the snapshots (less than 0. 02 seconds for thousands of them!) and applies the necessary changes.

This allows you to simply install this and not worry about accidental overwrites. Fully compatible with other Dynamic Patcher.

Technical Information and Limitations

While Partial Form Patcher is smart enough to deal with the most annoying forms, it will only work for Magic Effects, Weapons, Armor Addons, Weapons, Books, and Soul Gems. This isn't nearly as big a limitation as it seems, since these make up the majority of the annoying end-of-load-order conflicts. But, what happens when more than one mods try to edit the same form?

This is where the intelligent part comes in. Partial Form Patcher will always use the >>last<< plugin that edits the visual and/or sounds of a form. It also knows to separate visuals from audio, allowing it to apply audio changes from even further back in the load order. It also knows when you want to revert a change. There is no need for guesswork, everything will be printed in a log for you to review when the game gets to the main menu.

Speaking of the log - after you get the main menu, check out Documents/My Games/Skyrim Special Edition/SKSE/PartialFormPatcher.log with a program like Notepad. It will detail all patches applied to your load order, so you can skip the mod if no patches are deemed necessary.
