Ostim Tools

It's a new version of Ostim Tools re-worked for new Ostim SA scenes syntax and folder structure.

Currently it includes only porting tool "Bridge" which helps to port SLAL animations to Ostim Standalone.

BRIDGE 🌉

Slal packs sometimes might have some typos, mistakes or just slightly different structure in configs. Those issues might affect Ostim Tools work. I tested it with one of the biggest packs and it was able to copy/generate all files. But still there might be some edge cases. If you are running into trouble with some particular pack, let me know:

  []send me your Ostim Tools configs for that pack, so I can try to recreate your issues.

  If it something I didn't account for(tbh I'm not an expert in SLAL configs :) ) I'll try to release update.

  Regarding breaking changes from version 1. I changed how names are generated, I tried to accommodate old configs, but there still might be some inconsistency. Please make copy of your old configs before you run Ostim Tools v2.

  On first run of Ostim Tools v2, it will try to find old configs, reformat them in new shape, rename animations in new way and move them to another folder.

  📦Bridge distribution📦

  This app doesn't have any viruses. Here is github with source code https://github.com/tetherball88/OstimTools. It's electron.js, distributed via setup exe file. I don't have neither I'll be obtaining signing certificate for windows applications - which theoretically could help avoiding false alarms for antiviruses. So here are multiple options you have to start using this app:

  • []Download from nexus(I won't be uploading every new version because I need manually unblock it due to nexus' antivirus false alarms) main version

    []Download setup exe from github releases https://github.com/tetherball88/OstimTools/releases

  • Pull github repo and run locally(for that you need nodejs 18)

    🔄Bridge updates🔄

    My updates are usually ~1mb, but due to electron nature it packages whole app in the setup.exe file. Ostim Tools is ~100mb, I don't see any reason to download each time another 100mb for some small update.

    I developed solution to distribute small updates through github releases. Those are incremental updates, meaning if you have version 2.
