📋 About This Mod
So, recently I made Maleficus' Traversal, which places a bunch of EVGAT markers around the walled cities. In a recent update, I made an MCM with hotkey functionality to allow indicators to be toggled on and off, so users could see where all my traversal points are. In order to make this feature accessible to anybody who wants it and wants to make EVGAT mods, I have created this framework to streamline the process.
Permissions are entirely open. Feel free to use this framework freely, modify the script, earn donation points, whatever you want. Just be sure to credit me if you use this framework in your mod.
It is important you watch the tutorial. There are timestamps in the pinned comment if you need to skip around at all.

-Why isn't this flagged ESL?
That is up to the mod author who utilizes this framework. They'll probably need to compact formIDs for ESL anyway, so no point in preemptively flagging it.
-Why'd you make this?
To make MCM functionality more accessible for those who don't know how to make MCMs or want to do so quickly.
-Does this mod do anything on its own?
It'll add a blank MCM with a useless hotkey. This is a modder's resource; it'll do something for mod authors. There are no EVGAT markers placed in this mod. This is just the framework for the MCM if you want similar functionality as Maleficus' Traversal
-Will my mod need this as a master if I use this framework?
No, just follow the video
-What if I already made a traversal mod and want to add this functionality?
Follow the first part of the tutorial, with the copying and renaming/reassigning for the script and merge the plugin with your own.
A modder's resource that enables EVGAT mod authors to add MCM functionality similar to Maleficus' Traversal. It's a framework for integration, not a standalone gameplay mod. With 315 endorsements and 17,715 downloads, it's a niche tool for mod creators.
✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Solid adoption for a modder's resource (315 endorsements).
- Active download count (17,715) shows real interest from the modding community.
- Fills a specific niche for EVGAT mods needing MCM support.
⚠️ Cons
- Last updated in 2022, so it may be outdated for current game versions.
- Requires mod authors to integrate it, so end users won't see direct benefits.
- Compatibility risk with other mods that modify MCM or EVGAT systems.
For mod authors creating EVGAT mods who want to add MCM settings without reinventing the wheel. If you're a player looking for gameplay changes, this isn't for you—it's a behind-the-scenes tool.
💡 Beginner Tips
- If you're a mod author, check Maleficus' Traversal to see how MCM integration works in practice.
- Ensure your EVGAT mod is compatible with this framework's version before integrating.
- Test MCM settings in a clean save to avoid conflicts with other UI mods.
