📋 About This Mod
Description
Edited Meshes and textures, toned down Emissive Multiple and Transparency,
making these effects less of an eyesore at night and more to my taste.
One "downside" of this mod could be the effect appearing near non-existent during sunny day time,
depending on your ENB + weather + lighting set up.
But frankly, these effects annoy me just as much during the day, so it's an "upside" for me.
Note that if you do not have Skyrim ENB Particle Patch for SSE installed,
You might not need this, since the vanilla mesh plays quite well with ENB already.
However, I still prefer my toned down textures even with the vanilla mesh.
So if you don't want the emissive meshes, simply delete/hide the meshes folder from this mod.
Night
This small mod tones down the blowing snow effects in snowy areas, making them less distracting when using ENB with the Particle Patch. It's a simple visual tweak for Skyrim players who find the default snow effects overwhelming. With over 6,000 endorsements and 1.6 million downloads, it's a popular quality-of-life improvement.
✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Huge community trust: 6,042 endorsements and 1.6 million downloads
- Solves a real annoyance for ENB users—snow effects that distract from the visuals
- Lightweight and focused: does one thing and does it well
⚠️ Cons
- Last updated in May 2020—may not be compatible with the latest Skyrim versions or ENB series
- Only affects blowing snow; other weather effects remain unchanged
- Requires the Particle Patch and ENB to be fully effective, so it's not for everyone
For Skyrim players who use ENB and the Particle Patch and find the default blowing snow effects too intense or distracting. If you're a purist who wants a cleaner snowy landscape without losing the atmosphere, this is a must-have. Skip if you don't use ENB or prefer the original snow effects.
