THE RETURN OF VULDUR STORY UPDATE

This update introduces a new post-main quest storyline that continues the events following the defeat of Zenera and the activities of the Disciples of Vuldur. Players can embark on a brand-new adventure featuring new quests, characters, encounters, and story content that lead toward the return of Vominheim's greatest threat.

* Added a Dead Courier on the second floor of Valtheim Tower as a fallback for players who fail to receive the starting quest letter.

HOW TO START THE RETURN OF VULDUR QUESTLINE

1. Complete the main quest of Vominheim given by Eldmar Frostgaze, including the confrontation with Zenera.

2. After completing the main quest, Eldmar Frostgaze will offer a new hunting quest chain.

3. Progress through the hunting quests until you complete "The Burning Dread."

4. If you have already completed "The Burning Dread," the Shadowbearer will automatically appear in Whiteshore Village and begin looking for you. Simply travel to Whiteshore Village to meet him.

4. After completing the quest, the mysterious Shadowbearer will seek out and greet you in Whiteshore Village.

5. Speaking with the Shadowbearer will begin The Return of Vuldur questline.

HOW TO START YOUR JOURNEY TO VOMINHEIM

Once you reach Level 18, a courier will begin looking for you in major settlements such as Whiterun, Falkreath, and other towns. He will deliver a letter called "Invitation to Power." Reading the letter will start the quest "The Voice from Vominheim."

Because some players have reported that the courier occasionally fails to appear for unknown reasons, Version 3. 20 adds a backup solution. A Dead Courier (only appears if you have reached level 18 and above) can now be found on the second floor of Valtheim Tower. Simply loot the letter from his body and read it to begin the quest.

RECOMMENDED LEVEL

Vominheim is designed as an end-game landmass.

Although the quest becomes available at Level 18, I strongly recommend exploring Vominheim at Level 30 to 50 or higher. Many enemies exceed the difficulty normally found in Skyrim. Some players consider them overpowered, but this is intentional. I have no plans to scale Vominheim to standard Skyrim difficulty.

Be warned: Vominheim is meant to be challenging.

ABOUT VULDUR

Vuldur is the central antagonist of Vominheim. Throughout your journey, you will learn about him through quests, books, and NPC dialogue.

With Version 3. 20, his story finally reaches its next chapter. Players who complete the main quest and the subsequent hunting questline will have the opportunity to confront him.
