iNeed Water - A VR Needs Management Adaption

About this mod:

This is a small mod which aims to add a little more immersion to "Need Mods" water consumption mechanic by providing the player with water skins which can be holstered on their virtual avatar (via VRIK) and consumed / refilled in a more realistic manor which is more suited to virtual reality game play - i.e no more going into menus.

It is a standalone addon and changes none of the base scripts used in needs mods but does call functions from them to both fill and consume water skins. The water skin meshes & textures used in this mod are provided with the permission of 'iNeed' creator isoku and 'iNeed Continued' developer nodude2016 (thanks guys).

Installation:

• []Install VRIK + any dependancies

  []Install SkyrimVRTools

  []Install Supported Needs Mod

  []Install this mod using a mod manager of your choice

  []This mod MUST be loaded within the first 127 plugins in your load order (i.e between 1 & 127)

  Inital Setup in Game:

  • []A new weapon 'Leather Water Skin' will be added to your inventory when the mod initialises.

    []Ensure that your character is in combat stance

    []Ensure that the VRIK holster you wish to holster the Water Skin in is configured to take swords and the hand(s) you wish to use.

    []Equip the 'Leather Water Skin'' weapon in your inventory.

    []Holster the waterskin as you would any other weapon for the first time with VRIK.

    []Reposition the holstered waterskin to your tastes.

    []You can now draw and holster the waterskin much like any other weapon while using VRIK.

    []SunHelm users should disable both "Eat & Drink" + "Water Refil" animations in the SunHelm MCM.

    Note: This mod does not provide any 'Empty Water Skins' which are used by iNeed, you will need to purchase these if you do not have them already.

    Filling Empty Water Skins:

    • []Ensure you have an empty Water Skin or Empty Bottles in your inventory (if not buy / loot one).

      []Find a water source and stand in it.

      []Equip your holstered 'Leather Water Skin'.

      []Enable sneak (either physical sneak or comfort sneak - both will work).

      []All empty Water Skins & Bottles in your inventory will now fill with the water type from the source you are stood in.

    • You can still fill empty Water Skins via tavern workers, wells, barrels etc and consume them by drinking from the 'Leather Water Skin'.
      Note: This mod does not provide 'Empty Water Skin' items - Depending on your needs mod you may to source these yourself from vendors.
