📋 About This Mod
I've returned with an update for Hunterborn - Forbidden Prey. I made a few little fixes here and there, but the main change is there's an MCM now, with MCM Helper functionality (optional), so your settings will be saved across save files.
Edited description from the old mod page (which I don't have access to anymore because I've deleted my account and rejoined since I created it):
- (Disabled by default): If you eat humanoid flesh, there's a chance of contracting prions. If you've finished the quest for Namira, you should be immune to this.
- You'll receive a bounty depending on how you treat corpses in front of witnesses. Cutting them up, tanning their skin, etc. Several configurable settings.
- Might be automatically compatible with iNeed. I was never able to get it to work before, but I don't use iNeed anymore, so someone else will have to tell me if it works.
Thanks to Nexus user unuroboros and their mod Hunterborn. This mod is a direct add-on to that one.
Thanks to Nexus user NateNexus, because I used the skin assets from their Forbidden Luxury- The Fur Traders Legacy mod.
Thanks to Nexus user PROMETHEUS_ts for letting me use the skull assets from the Beast Skeletons mod.
Hunterborn - Forbidden Prey 2.0 adds humanoid race support to the Hunterborn mod, enabling cannibal role-play. With 178 endorsements and 5,768 downloads, it's a niche but appreciated addition for immersive players. Last updated in September 2023, it remains relevant for Skyrim modders seeking darker gameplay.
✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Niche but solid (178 endorsements) – the community digs it.
- Fills a specific role-play gap for cannibal characters.
- Lightweight addition that doesn't overhaul the whole game.
⚠️ Cons
- Requires Hunterborn as a base mod – if you don't have it, this is useless.
- Only 178 endorsements – it's a niche within a niche, so support is limited.
- Last updated in 2023 – might have compatibility issues with newer mod setups.
For Skyrim role-players who want to play a cannibal character with full Hunterborn integration. If you're not into dark, immersive role-play, skip this – it's purely a niche add-on.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Make sure you have Hunterborn installed and activated before adding this mod.
- Load this mod after Hunterborn in your load order to ensure proper integration.
- If you're using a mod manager, let it handle the file placement – it's a simple drop-in.
