📋 About This Mod
A remade version of Salmon Roe 3D Model Relacer by Klamactus, using isospheres instead of regular ones to save faces without much visual degredation. It also uses vanilla texture paths for improved compatibility. All the trishapes have been merged to reduce draw calls, and the whole thing has been through Cathedral Assets Optimizer for Maximum Performance (TM).
I would have liked to use a higher-subdivision isosphere, like I did for Not Too High Poly Pearls, but as good as they looked I couldn't justify the increase in model size for this "series". If someone wants it I'll put it out there!
Model Comparison:
Vanilla Not Too High 3D Model Replacer
110 triangles 3. 9k triangles 5. 9k triangles
26kb 89kb 224kb
As a side note, simply running Klamactus model through CAO reduces the file size to 140kb (by converting the old NiTri type to BSTri), so in reality this is a ~36% reduction in size, not ~60% like the numbers make it seem.
Other Not Too High Poly Models:
Swamp Fungal Pods
Creep Clusters
Like the concept? Check out IWantATardis' meshes, which are also compatible with vanilla retextures:
Spider Eggs
Giant's Toes
Human Hearts

✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Community-approved with 254 endorsements and over 21k downloads.
- Optimized 3D model means you get better looks without tanking your FPS.
- Fixes an ugly vanilla asset that's been bugging players for years.
⚠️ Cons
- Only affects salmon roe, so if you're looking for broader texture overhauls, this won't cover much.
- As a model replacement, it might conflict with other mods that alter the same mesh.
- Last updated in 2023, so it may not be compatible with the latest Skyrim updates or other mods.
For Skyrim players who notice the flat, ugly salmon roe and want a quick visual fix without a big performance cost. It's perfect for modders who care about small details. Skip if you're not bothered by vanilla salmon roe or if you're after gameplay changes.
