Ground Sloths are large herbivores with claws the size of large daggers that they use for foraging, digging, and defense. They can be found in a wide diversity of environments including the warm savannas of Elswyer, the lush forests of Valenwood, the alien landscapes of Morrowind, and last but not least, the chilly landscapes of Skyrim.

Ground Sloths native to Skyrim can rival the size of mammoths. However, they tend to live in forested and sparsely forested areas to avoid direct competition with them. They're slow and appear to be docile, but be weary, an attack from a ground sloth can prove to be fatal as they have the arm strength of several trolls. Very few live to tell the tale of battling such a beast, 'with the sonorous war cry'..... of one very angry Sloth.
