📋 About This Mod

This mod allows followers to vault and climb obstacles that are over 42 skyrim units high! Also allows followers to do a drop roll when then fall from enough height!

Made from the ground up using Skyparkour!

This is not a pathing mod, it simply makes it so when there's occasionally obstacles, your followers will parkour over them. In most cases, with well navmeshed areas, they will simply walk around to you instead of parkouring over obstacles, as this is the default pathing that Skyrim does. For example a "well made" navmeshed room will perfectly place navmesh AROUND furniture and obstacles so that followers will never run into them and will walk around. A "badly" made one will instead just navmesh the entire room and then place furniture and obstacles directly on top of navmeshed areas, and this is what leads to NPCs getting stuck.

Step over features were not added for lower than 42 skyrim unit obstacles, as I couldn't get it to work consistently. For these shorter obstacles I recommend Step Up Onto SKSE and in their mod ini settings set bEnableNearbyNPCStepUp=true

VR version added: Install skyparkour normally (including running nemesis/pandora if you never did so after installing skyparkour), delete the SkyParkourNG.dll file from its Skse\plugins folder, install my mod and the parkour test chamber, then test in the test chamber to make sure it works!

The following gifs show testing in a "badly" navmeshed custom parkour test chamber (available for download in optional files). Because I navmeshed the entire room completely and just put random stuff all over, followers are forced to parkour over them or else get stuck running in place.

✨ Key Features

Uses Skyparkour to enable followers to vault and climb obstacles
Extends parkour mechanics to all NPCs, not just the player
Recently updated (August 2026) with active maintenance

📊 Pros & Cons

✅ Pros

  • Solid community backing with 383 endorsements and over 10k downloads
  • Adds a fresh layer of mobility to followers, making them feel more alive
  • Built on Skyparkour, so it integrates with an existing popular framework

⚠️ Cons

  • Requires Skyparkour as a dependency, so you need to install that first
  • Parkour AI can sometimes cause followers to take odd paths or get stuck
  • May conflict with other follower overhaul mods that alter movement behavior
🎯 Is This For You?
For Skyrim players who use follower mods and want their companions to navigate the world more naturally, especially in rugged terrain. If you're tired of followers getting stuck on rocks or fences, this is a nice quality-of-life boost. Skip if you prefer vanilla follower behavior or don't want to add another dependency.
📦 Install:Medium· 5-10 minutes

💡 Beginner Tips

  • Make sure Skyparkour is installed and working before adding this mod, as it's a hard dependency.
  • Test in a city or rocky area to see followers vaulting—if they don't, check your load order and ensure this mod loads after Skyparkour.
  • If followers behave erratically, try adjusting Skyparkour's settings to reduce parkour frequency.
