Follower Equip Control

Follower Equip Control is an SKSE plugin that lets you perform on followers the same item actions you can normally perform on yourself through Skyrim's inventory menu, all directly from the trade menu. No ESP, No scripts, just a lightweight SKSE plugin that works with the existing trade menu. Fully supports both keyboard & mouse and controller.

Hold the Mod Key and click an item to equip or unequip it on your follower.

On keyboard & mouse, the Mod Key defaults to Left Ctrl:

  On a controller, the Mod Key defaults to LT:

    This works exactly like equipping items on yourself, so you can set up dual-wield combinations, pair a weapon with a shield, or leave one hand empty.

    The Mod Key also works for consumables, poisons, and spell tomes. Consumables such as potions, food, drinks, and ingredients are used on your follower. Poisons are applied to their equipped weapon. Spell tomes let your follower learn the spell.

    The mod helps preserve your equipment choices. Equip Stability features prevent Skyrim from silently changing follower equipment, while Combat Equip features record combat preferences and help followers use the equipment you selected during combat.

    The mod also includes additional utility features: recharge enchanted weapons directly from the trade menu, display follower stats in place of player stats during trade, and equip or unequip items on corpses while looting.

    Every feature can be toggled individually through an INI file or an in-game Mod Control Panel (with SKSE Menu Framework), so you can keep only the features you actually want. When a feature is disabled, its associated systems do not run in the background, resulting in zero performance cost. The mod is designed to be as modular and non-intrusive as possible, so it can be used alongside other mods with minimal compatibility issues.
