Hi everyone!
For a long time, I've wanted to learn how to do shell texturing. I love the effect, and when I saw Digital Foundry's deep-dive on the RE4 remake, and saw the shell texturing on Leon's jacket, I decided I was going to finally get around to giving the technique a shot. I picked a project to have a go at, and this is the result. I've added shell texturing to all of the areas of fur that I could. This is because some edges of fur cross over two faces in the mesh and I'd have been 'fluffifying' leather and metal if I'd included those faces. Hence there are a few edges that aren't perfect. Still, I'm really happy with the result and I hope you enjoy it too.
The download includes a shell texture which is based upon xavbio's awesome Iron Armors and Weapons Retexture SE. A huge thank you to Xavbio for allowing me to use their texture for the shell texturing in this mod. I highly recommend using Iron Armors and Weapons Retexture SE with this mod. In my opinion, it's the best armor retexture on the Nexus. The effect should look fine if you have vanilla or Amidianborn textures installed instead.
This is a mesh and texture mod and so doesn't require a plugin. You can install/uninstall it at any point without any ill effects on your save.
