Description

This is a HD parallax release of the famous Nordic Snow mod for Skyrim. I personally use this along side the landscape textures from Skyrim 202X. So that being said this mod is compatible with all landscape texture mods out there on nexus, minus snow texture replacement mods of course. The mod only contains textures so you can install or uninstall this mod any time and includes fixes to general problems you may encounter when using parallax (NOT related to this mod rather related to using parallax in general).

Additionally I have included a single snow rock texture optional file made by WiZKid  from his "Atlantean Landscape- Snow mod which can be used to replace the original snow rock texture included in the original Nordic Snow mod. Compatibility

This mod is compatible with all the mods the original mod is compatible with. That said patches like the famous Nordic Snow - Blended Roads Fix also work with this mod and are required to get the mod blended roads to work with this mod.

Required Files and Installation

The original mod Nordic Snow is required for this mod to work. Install this mod after you install the original Nordic Snow mod and replace the textures when prompted.

When using parallax you will also need to use either Simplicity of Snow or my personal favorite Better Dynamic Snow v2. 11 and ensure you are using a ENB that was made for parallax (older ENBs like Natural View ENB will not handle parallax well and can cause issues with broken textures which can only be resolved by turning off Terrain Blending). When using parallax terrain ensure that all of your terrain textures use parallax as well I recommend for example you use Skryim 202X with parallax and replace the snow with this mod. Your enbseries.ini should reflect the following to enable terrain parallax:

EnableTerrainParallax=false

EnableTerrainBlending=true (If you go up the snow path from Riverwood to Bleak Falls Barrow and see broken rock textures disable this to fix it)

EnableComplexTerrainParallax=true

EnableComplexTerrainParallaxShadows=true

Performance

-All textures are HD 2k textures but do not have any measurable hit on your system even if you are ruining a potato build.
