📋 About This Mod

Credits and Inspiration

Dynamic Dialogue Framework originally evolved from Dynamic Subtitles for OStim. The initial concept of displaying UI-based pseudo-subtitles during OStim scenes, together with the use of external JSON line packs, was inspired by OSpicyLines.

Special thanks to bononobo, author of OSpicyLines, for the original inspiration and for helping establish this type of dialogue system within the OStim community.

DDF has since grown into an independent framework with its own implementation, condition system, role resolution, voice support, and dialogue-pack tools, but its early conceptual inspiration should still be properly acknowledged.

Dynamic Dialogue Framework for OStim Standalone

Dynamic Dialogue Framework adds context-aware dialogue, optional voice playback, and custom subtitles to OStim Standalone scenes through a lightweight, DLL-driven system.

Rather than selecting dialogue solely from the current animation name, the framework can react to the active OStim Action, actor roles, scene speed, relationship status, follower status, furniture type, actor count, mouth availability, and other scene conditions.

It includes a ready-to-use Simple Mode, demonstration voice files, and editable templates for creators who want to build and share their own dialogue or voice packs.

Version 1. 7

Dialogue conditions have changed in this version. Please redownload the updated dialogue pack after updating DDF. You can find it here

Added Author Mode. All available conditions can be viewed in-game, and dialogue text can be edited directly. Changes are written back to the corresponding JSON file.

Added localization files for the DDF interface.

Author Mode now supports Chinese text input. This requires SimpleIME and SimpleIME Chinese Input Bridge for SKSE Menu Framework.

No new game is required.

Version 1. 6

Adjusted when dialogue and voice pack data is loaded. Voice packs are now read automatically during each game load. You no longer need to reload them manually during gameplay unless you modify the JSON files while the game is running.

Added separate Player and NPC subtitle/voice switches to the SKSE Menu. All options are enabled by default. You can disable subtitles or voice playback independently for the Player and NPCs.

Adjusted voice-selection priority so PlayerRef is checked first. The player should no longer incorrectly use NPC voice files, including cases where a male player could play a female NPC voice.

No new game is required. Existing saves are supported, but the DDF quest must be restarted after updating:

stopquest TMS_DDQ

startquest TMS_DDQ[/size

🤖 AI-enhanced — based on mod data

Dynamic Dialogue Framework (DDF) is a framework for OStim Standalone that adds context-aware dialogue to scenes, reacting to actions, roles, relationships, and conditions. It supports optional voice and lip-sync via JSON files. With 134 endorsements and 6,053 downloads, it's a niche but actively used immersion tool for Skyrim modders.

✨ Key Features

Adds context-aware dialogue to OStim threads based on current actions, actor roles, relationships, and scene conditions.
Supports optional voice and lip-sync through JSON file configuration.
Framework designed for integration with OStim Standalone.

📊 Pros & Cons

✅ Pros

  • Solid community traction with 134 endorsements and over 6k downloads.
  • Adds a whole new layer of immersion to OStim scenes—dialogue that actually reacts to what's happening.
  • JSON-based voice and lip-sync support means you can customize it to your load order.

⚠️ Cons

  • Requires OStim Standalone, so it's useless if you're not already running that framework.
  • As a framework, it needs other mods or patches to actually generate dialogue—out of the box it's just the skeleton.
  • Last updated in August 2026, so it might not be compatible with the latest OStim versions if they've moved on.
🎯 Is This For You?
For Skyrim players who use OStim Standalone and want deeper immersion in adult scenes. If you're into roleplaying and want dialogue that matches the moment, this is your jam. Skip it if you don't use OStim or prefer silent scenes.
📦 Install:Medium· 5-10 minutes

💡 Beginner Tips

  • Make sure OStim Standalone is installed and working before adding DDF—it won't do anything without it.
  • Check the mod's JSON files to see how dialogue is structured; you can tweak or add your own lines if you're comfortable editing.
  • Use a mod manager like MO2 or Vortex to keep DDF's files separate and avoid overwriting other OStim patches.
