📋 About This Mod
MOD Descriptions:
In vanilla game the left hand weapon/shield bone node was controlled by "DW_ShieldAdjustment.hkx" animation when actor dual weilding, which cause animator not able to freely animate the left hand weapon node.
To break this rescrtions, I made this behavior patch to allow animator disable this "DW_ShieldAdjustment.hkx" animation temporarily when playing their dual weidling moveset, so they can rotate the left hand weapon node freely in their animations.
How To Install:
Requirement:
(1) Nemesis
(2) Behavior Data Injector
To Install:
Download and Install the mod files with mod manager.Tick the patch in Nemesis, update and lanuch.
For Mod Authors:
To disable the overriden of "DW_ShieldAdjustment.hkx", you simply need to annotate this annotation into an animation file of your moveset:
0. 0 DisableShieldAdjustment
That is all! Then you are now able to get the full control of the left hand node in your animations, until the actor sheathed weapons.
I would recommond adding this annotation into the weapon drawn animation, "1hm_equip.hkx" for example.
If you no longer need to control left hand node and want to give the control back to "DW_ShieldAdjustment.hkx", then just annotate this in your animation:
0. 0 EnableShieldAdjustment

✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Huge community trust with over half a million downloads and 1.5k endorsements.
- Fixes a specific animation restriction that many dual-wielders find annoying.
- Lightweight behavior patch—no heavy scripts or extra assets to worry about.
⚠️ Cons
- Last updated in April 2023—might not be compatible with the latest Skyrim patches.
- Requires a mod manager and possibly Nemesis or FNIS to work properly.
- Only affects shield node rotation—if you're expecting full dual-wield animation overhauls, this isn't it.
For Skyrim players who dual-wield and notice the shield clipping or stiff positioning. If you're a modder or animation enthusiast, this is a clean fix. Skip if you want complete dual-wield animation changes—this is a targeted patch.
