Diverse True Wolves and Dogs

WHAT DOES THIS MOD DO?

This is an ESP file and script that uses the meshes/textures you can download from True Wolves Of Skyrim in order to add 7 different color variations to the game.

Most dogs will now use the same models as wolves. This mod does not change huskies.

HOW DOES THIS MOD WORK?

This does NOT add new enemies or touch the leveled lists.

Instead, whenever a dog/wolf first spawns, a script will assign it a body skin based on several criteria.

The first thing it looks at is the animal's name.

For example, a wolf named "Snow Wolf" will always be white, and a wolf named "Brown Wolf" will always be brown.

This helps the mod be compatible with as many other creature mods as possible, without having to create a special patch for them.

If the name is vague ("Wolf"), it will randomly be assigned a color.

Different locations have a different probability of spawning different wolves.

For example, white wolves are more common near Winterhold, while red wolves are more common near Riften.

REQUIREMENTS WITH INSTALL DIRECTIONS

Download the following mod exactly as listed below.

It is okay if you don't have animallica installed... that option was simply the most convenient folder structure to use for creating this mod.

You shouldn't need to download most of the other patches (for example, skip the SkyTEST and SIC patches), because my script will automatically patch any creature mods that use the default dog and wolf races.

It is an Oldrim mod. The SSE conversion option on his download page won't fix anything.

If you want to convert it, use Cathedral Assets Optimizer instead.

It will still work even if you don't convert it.

The uncompressed normal map is just an option for people who want the wolves to look better.
