De NPCs - Lydia Overhaul by LDD

Hi there!

This time, I wanted to share my overhaul for Lydia.

When I first met her, her voice most certainly did not fit that of a furious warrior seeking blood. It sounded more like someone who isn’t quite sure what they’re doing - a very warm and kind person.

Even though Lydia claims she is here to serve and protect the Thane, I don’t see her in that role. Her clumsiness in combat only strengthens that impression. I see her as someone lost, unsure of what she is truly destined to do. I see her as a mother - perhaps her dream would be to have a beautiful little girl.

But do I see her charging forward with sword and shield against an army of draugr? Maybe… if she were forced to.

That’s how I wanted to portray her: someone conflicted, tired. Someone who doesn’t feel like they belong where they are, yet is full of acceptance. But also kind, and filled with faith in a better future.

So here she is - my Lydia of Whiterun.

I believe few people may like the characters I create, and perhaps some will want to play with them...

So inside my overhaul mods you will find a preset with the face created for a specific NPC.

No permission is granted to use my presets as a base for other replacers, followers, or anything else.

Please keep them for personal use only.

She was made for my replacer, and I want to keep it that way :)

To use the preset, please make sure you have all the -= HEAD =- mods listed in the credits at the end of the description installed.

If you’re only interested in the overhaul itself, you don’t need to install them.

My Lydia is patched for RSV by default and won't be affected by them.

She does not have any outfit or body assigned, only texture sets. You are free to dress her to your liking.

In FOMOD I've provided patches for Free Housecarls and Improved Follower Dialogue - Lydia.
