Convenient Horses Follower Tweaks

Options available in the installer

Combat Distance

Increases the followers' mounted combat distance.

Followers are more likely to stay on their initial target when the player engages another nearby one.

This allows better maneuvering without constantly bumping into each other.

Dismount Distance

Followers are allowed to dismount at any distance above 300 units from the player.

With the original settings sometimes followers don't dismount because they're not close enough; they stay upon their possibly-stuck horse and stop... following.

With the tweak they dismount and reach the player on foot.

Engagement Rules

Mounted followers only engage the enemy if the player draws weapon, and disengage if the player sheathes.

I love riding around but can't really be bothered to fight any possible wolf, bear or mudcrab just because the hirelings are bloodthirsty berserkers -- one even killed a bear cub and the mother before I could intervene!

Rearing

Horses no longer rear up after summoning, just mount and go.

While the rear-up-and-neigh is quite fancy, it loses a bit of its charm after the umpteenth repetition.

No follow on dismissal

The horse no longer follows the follower that stops following when you dismiss him/her -- requested by captaingabi.

Follower horse speed

The follower's horse is 50% faster -- requested by reaver18.
