📋 About This Mod
Complete Perk Points Control is a SE/AE mod that adds multiple dynamic ways to earn perk points beyond just standard level-ups. This system rewards dedicated skill progression and adds new flexibility for character builds, giving players more control over how they grow their characters.
With this mod, you can gain perk points from:
🌱 Skill Progression
🧍 Player Level Progression
🐉 Absorb Dragon Souls
🔥 Soul Conversion Spell - found in High Hrothgar.
• Independent Skill Progression
Grants a perk point when any single skill increases by the set amount. For example, if start and interval are 25, you’ll earn a perk point at Alchemy 25, Alchemy 50, Destruction 25, Destruction 50, and so on - calculated per skill independently
• Cumulative Skill Progression
Grants a perk point when the total combined skill level increases by the set amount. With an interval of 25, you might level Destruction by 10, Alchemy by 10, and Sneak by 5 - together adding up to one perk point.
• Player Level Progression
Grants a perk point each time your character levels up by the set interval, starting from your chosen starting level. The perk point is granted after you choose a stat in the level-up menu.
You will receive perk point initially at Starting Level, and then subsequently at increments of Level Interval.
(Start = 50, Interval = 25, Max = 100) = Perk points at 50, 75, 100 skill level.
🧩
Custom Skills Framework Support
Perk points are granted directly in the Stats Menu (skill trees).
Mods using Custom Skills Framework store their skill levels as Global Variables. To make those custom skills compatible, you only need to:
• Find each skill’s global variable (ending with “Level”) in SSEEdit
• Add them to the CustomSkillGlobals.txt file located in ModFolder/SKSE/Plugins/
You can verify that all globals were loaded correctly by reviewing the log files in your Documents folder after exiting the game.

✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Decent community traction with 171 endorsements and over 5,000 downloads
- Flexible perk point sources let you tailor progression to your playstyle
- Lightweight utility that doesn't overhaul the whole skill system
⚠️ Cons
- Small mod with a niche focus—if you're fine with vanilla perk points, this won't change much
- No mention of compatibility with other perk overhauls, so you might hit conflicts
- Last updated in February 2026, so it may not be actively maintained
For Skyrim players who feel perk points are too scarce or want to earn them through different activities. If you're a completionist who likes to max out every skill, this gives you more flexibility. Skip if you prefer the vanilla perk system or use heavy perk overhauls that already adjust point gain.
💡 Beginner Tips
- If you're using a mod manager like Vortex or MO2, just download and install—no extra setup needed.
- Check your load order to ensure this mod loads after any perk overhaul mods to avoid conflicts.
- Test with a new character to see how perk point gains feel before committing to a long playthrough.
