📋 About This Mod

Finally, Signs You Can Actually Read

Current Version: 4. 2

Skyrim's roadsigns have always been a blurry mess. Sure, realistically they'd be weathered and covered in all sorts of road grime — but I decided to turn a blind eye to historical accuracy and focus on making signs that are actually readable and aesthetically pleasing.

Every roadsign in the game has been rebuilt from scratch. Crisp text, clean wood, and details you can actually see. Whether you're finding your way to Whiterun or wandering the roads of Bruma.

— FEATURES —

  • []Three Resolution Options: 8K for maximum clarity, 4K for the sweet spot, 2K for performance builds

[]Built From Scratch: Completely remade textures, not upscales

[]Readable Text: Signs that actually help you navigate

[]Multiple Patches: Support for popular mods that add new locations

    — BUILT-IN PATCHES —

    • []Point The Way

      []Cutting Room Floor

      []Whistling Mine

      []Beyond Skyrim - Bruma

    • Oakwood

      — COMPATIBILITY —

This mod will conflict with any mod that alters roadsign textures or meshes.

      — INSTALLATION —

Vortex recommended to use the FOMOD installer.

      Manual — Main Mod:

📊 Pros & Cons

✅ Pros

  • High endorsement-to-download ratio (4,074 endorsements out of 275,567 downloads) shows strong community approval.
  • Patches for popular mods like Point The Way and Cutting Room Floor mean you can use it with your existing setup.
  • Focus on readability means you'll actually be able to read signs from a distance—no more squinting at worn textures.

⚠️ Cons

  • Last updated in 2019, so it may not be compatible with the latest Skyrim updates or newer mods without unofficial patches.
  • Only covers roadsigns—if you want other sign types (like shop signs) retextured, you'll need to look elsewhere.
🎯 Is This For You?
For Skyrim players who want clearer, more readable roadsigns without sacrificing visual quality. It's perfect for those who use mods like Point The Way or Cutting Room Floor and want a cohesive look. Skip if you prefer weathered, lore-friendly signs or if you're on a newer Skyrim version and don't want to deal with potential compatibility issues.

💡 Beginner Tips

  • If you use Point The Way, grab the included patch to avoid conflicts—it's a must-have for that mod.
  • Check your mod manager for any overwrite prompts—this mod should be loaded after other texture mods to ensure its signs take priority.
  • Since it's from 2019, test it in-game after installing to make sure it works with your current setup, especially if you have other mods that touch roadsigns.
