📋 About This Mod
A lite version of Alex9ndre's Bring Your Silver for Skyrim http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/66882/? with permission that only includes the resistance changes. All credit goes to him for his awesome mod which I highly recommend everyone use on the original Skyrim.
Enemy Resistances
Some creatures are highly resistant to certain weapons, thus you need the right tools to deal with them.
Draugr
Receive -50% damage from non-silver weapons and a stacking -50% damage from piercing weapons.
Skeletons
Receive -50% damage from non-silver weapons and a stacking -50% damage from non-blunt weapons.
Vampires
Receive -75% damage from non-silver weapons but are 25% more vulnerable to silvered piercing weapons.
Ghosts
Receive -90% damage from non-silver, Daedric or ghost weapons.
Undead in General
Any undead that are not one of the above receive -50% damage from non-silver weapons. In addition the undead receive -33% magic damage(Excluding Vampires) that are not affected by the Restoration school. Also non-vampire undead are 90% more resistant to sneak attacks.
Dremora
Receive -75% damage from non-silver or Daedric weapons.
Werewolves
Receive -75% damage from non-silver weapons.
And for the player...
If the player is a Werewolf or Vampire, will receive +50% damage from silver weapons.
Also if the player has Werewolf blood or is a vampire and equip a silver weapon, will suffer weakness, having all stats
drained by 100 points if vampire and 50 points if werewolf in human form. This feature extends to Dawnguard
weapons and Dawnbreaker for vampire players, a vampire equipping Dawnbreaker in particular would be devastating.
Werewolf player in beast form also deal +50% damage against undead.
- Dawnguard weapons are considered silver.
- Dawnbreaker is considered silver when damaging the undead.
- Bound weapons are not resisted by any of the creatures above.
- Any weapons added by mods that have the keyword WeapMaterialSilver will be compatible.

✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Community-approved with 656 endorsements and nearly 30k downloads
- Lightweight tweak that adds meaningful depth to combat without bloating your load order
- Fills a niche gap—makes silver gear actually matter in Skyrim SE
⚠️ Cons
- Last updated in 2018, so it may not be fully compatible with the latest Skyrim SE patches or mods
- Only affects silver resistances—if you want broader combat overhauls, this won't cover them
- Potential conflicts with other mods that alter creature resistances or weapon stats
For Skyrim SE players who want a grittier, more tactical combat experience against the undead and lycanthropes. If you're tired of silver weapons feeling useless and want a reason to carry them, this is for you. Skip if you prefer a casual playthrough or want a full combat overhaul—this is a focused tweak.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Make sure to load this mod after any other mods that change creature resistances to avoid conflicts.
- If you use a mod manager like Vortex or MO2, let it handle the file placement to keep your load order clean.
- Test the mod early in your playthrough to see if the difficulty spike is to your liking—it's designed to be more hardcore.
