📋 About This Mod
Bridges of Skyrim by JeremeW5257 was the original mod. The original did not have navmesh on any of the bridges and JeremeW kindly encouraged folks to release a version that had navmesh. I decided to re-port this nice mod for use in Tempus Maledictum, a Wabbajack modlist by LivelyNightmare. This port of the LE mod is fully navmeshed, has no navmesh errors, and has been cleaned of dirty CK edits from the original mod. Unneeded landscape edits were removed for patch compatibility. Some bugs were also fixed, including ensuring the supports of the bridges in Lake Illinata reached the ground.
Requirements:
Current Skyrim AE (requires Fishing)
Compatibility:
USSEP - compatible, no patch needed
Lanterns of Skyrim - compatible, no patch needed
Skyrim Landscape and Water Fixes - compatible, no patch needed
Water For ENB - Load this plugin before WFE
I don't use Fishing and am still on 1. 5. 97 (or some other version)
- Sorry it's required
Will you make a patch for a mod?
- Probably not unless I use it, no.
Should I use this version or the other SE version?
- Whichever you prefer.
I found a problem with this mod while using other mods.
- Then you don't know if it's a problem with this mod. Test with only this mod loaded. I won't respond to comments about mod incompatibilities.
I found a problem with this mod with no other mods loaded.
- Let me know in the comments so I can fix it, thanks.
This is a compatibility patch for the Skyrim Special Edition port of Bridges of Skyrim, fixing navmesh errors including deleted vanilla navmesh. It's for players who use the original mod and encounter pathfinding issues. With 66 endorsements and recent updates, it's a niche but useful fix.
✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Directly addresses a known issue with the popular Bridges of Skyrim mod
- Recent update (Nov 2024) shows active maintenance
- Small but dedicated following (66 endorsements) suggests it works for those who need it
⚠️ Cons
- Requires the original Bridges of Skyrim mod to be installed, which may not be available on all platforms
- Only fixes navmesh issues; doesn't add new content or features
- Potential conflicts with other mods that alter the same navmeshes or worldspace
For Skyrim SE players who use Bridges of Skyrim and have noticed NPCs or followers getting stuck or walking into water. If you don't use that mod, this patch is useless. Skip if you're looking for new bridges or visual overhauls.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Make sure you have the SE port of Bridges of Skyrim installed before adding this patch, and load the patch after the main mod in your load order.
- If you're using a mod manager like Vortex or MO2, let it handle the file placement to avoid overwriting issues.
- Test in a save near a bridge to see if NPCs navigate correctly after installing.
