Better Elemental Fury (And Battle Fury)

Description:

Normally in Vanilla Skyrim Elemental Fury is an enchantment applied to the weapon. This allows the weapon to have a cool looking visual effect, but the shout does not work with any enchanted weapon. I find that to be a very large trade off for a rather small detail.

What this mod does:

This mod modifies Elemental Fury and Battle Fury to act as a status effect rather than as a weapon enchantment allowing them to be used with any weapon, enchanted or not, and while unarmed. This mod also modifies the criteria of Battle Fury to work with any follower, even dwarven, daedra, or undead. For some reason in Vanilla there is a condition checking whether the NPC is dwarven, daedra, or undead. Now Serana, Lucien Lachance, your atronachs, your dwarven armored mudcrab, and many other followers can benefit from the effects of Battle Fury!

What this mod does NOT do:

This mod does not modify the cooldown or duration of these shouts or any other shout. If you want to change the duration or cooldown of these shouts use SSEEdit to modify this mod and change the shout or download another mod that does so and doesn't override this mods patch

Known Issues:

Unfortunately due to how the creation engine works the wind effect from Elemental Fury and Battle Fury are not present anymore for the player or any friendly NPCs. For some this may be a good thing with how buggy the sound can be.

I highly recommend using Comprehensive Attack Rate Patch (CARP) or Attack Speed Framework. CARP is the latest attack speed fix mod designed for SKSE so I recommend that mod. Attack Speed Framework is obsolete, but will get the job done if Bethesda releases an update breaking SKSE mods again. I do provide a download for a version compatible with Vanilla, however I consider it unsupported.
