"Bantam Guars are small, chubby reptilian creatures, with docile temperament, native to Morrowind. They belong to the Scuttler family, having no relation to the real Guars. They are also commonly called "ugly chickens", due to their appearance and behavior, and like chickens they are also raised for eggs and meat by the Dunmer. On Solstheim, both the Raven Rock and Tel-Mithryn inhabitants breed flocks of domestic Bantam guars, but some wild flocks have also been documented living on the island's ash-covered shores. In Skyrim they never adapted properly, perhaps because of the cold temperatures."
