📋 About This Mod

Overview

This is a texture replacement for the ash pile that appears after body disintegration. The vanilla one was too blurry for me, and I wasn’t completely happy with the existing replacements (mainly with the alpha), so I made my own. Looks pretty much like vanilla, but better quality and with nicer alpha.

📊 Pros & Cons

✅ Pros

  • Community-approved with 430 endorsements and 16k downloads.
  • Fixes a common visual annoyance—blurry ash piles—without extra clutter.
  • Simple drop-in texture replacement, no complex setup.

⚠️ Cons

  • Only affects ash piles, so its impact is limited to specific areas.
  • Last updated in 2019, so it may not be tested with the latest Skyrim versions.
  • Potential conflicts with other mods that alter ash pile textures or landscapes.
🎯 Is This For You?
For Skyrim players who notice the blurry ash piles and want a quick visual upgrade without overhauling textures. If you're a completionist or roleplayer who frequents ash-heavy regions like Solstheim, this is a nice touch. Skip if you're looking for gameplay changes or broader texture packs.
