📋 About This Mod
Makes changes to the great mod "Ancient Death Magic" by Kittytail so it works better with a SimonRim experience.
While Kittytail's mods are great, I always felt they were a bit overpowered for my game (I play an altered/personalized Gate to Sovngarde which uses most SimonRim mods). I really wanted to use Ancient Death Magic because it looks so great, but it just didn't fit into my game/mod list. That's why I created this patch/add-on. It might be useful for others, too.
[]All spells are now Conjuration spells (except Ruinous Armor, which is Alteration).
[]The projectile of "Flaming Skull" has no gravity, so it will fly in a straight line.
[]Blighted Spike damage reduced from 25 to 20 (damage now scales though—see below).
[]Necromantic Skull damage reduced from 25 to 20 (damage now scales though—see below).
[]Ruinous Armor now benefits from the Mage Armor (30/70) perks from Adamant (Armor spells are 50%/100% stronger while wearing robes).
[]Death Scythe now benefits from all bound weapon perks from Adamant (even from Mystic Binding—those will summon stronger versions of the Scythe).
[*]The damage of the scythe is now higher to be on par with the bound battleaxe from Mysticism+Adamant.
What I added:
The damage of all spells except Death Scythe and Ruinous Armor now scales with Chaos Binding (30/70) from Adamant. This means Chaos Binding 30 increases the damage by 25% and Chaos Binding 70 increases the damage by 50%, much like how the elemental perks in the Destruction tree increase the damage of spells like Fireball and Ice Spike.
For this to work, I had to add effects to Chaos Binding 30/70 from Adamant. If any other mod modifies those perks, there might be a conflict (I know of no such mods).

This patch tweaks Kittytail's Ancient Death Magic to align with SimonRim's design philosophy, making it a better fit for players using that overhaul. With 34 endorsements and recent updates, it's a niche compatibility fix for a specific mod setup.
