📋 About This Mod
DESCRIPTION
This is a Special Edition port of the Alchemy recipe view mode LE mod with permission of the original author, rkkn. The original needed a custom DLL. This version instead relies on a couple of recent and popular SKSE libraries.
ESL flagged.
ORIGINAL DESCRIPTION
I made this because I got tired of having to carry around 1 of every ingredient just to be able to see the recipes. This way I can get the best of both worlds: I can keep a light inventory and carry around only what I need and can still see all my recipes so I can know what I need to collect.
While in the alchemy menu, press backslash "\" to swap to recipe viewing mode. Press it again to swap back. And that's it.
-
[]Doesn't unlock anything you don't already know.
[
]Crafting is disabled until you swap back.[]It's possible to rebind the hotkey by setting the global variable in the console (xzAlchemyHelper_keyCode)
REQUIREMENTS

HOW IT WORKS
- []See the very brief article.
COMPATIBILTY
-
[]Should be compatible with everything including replacement versions of alchemy labs and alternate crafting menus.

✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Huge community trust: 485 endorsements and 680k downloads — this is a proven mod.
- Saves inventory juggling: no more carrying every ingredient to check effects.
- Recent update (Dec 2024) means it's likely compatible with current Skyrim SE patches.
⚠️ Cons
- Only shows learned effects — if you haven't discovered an effect, it won't appear, so it's not a full recipe book.
- Requires a keybind toggle, which might conflict with other mods if you don't rebind.
- No detailed instructions in the description — you'll need to figure out the default key or check the mod page.
For Skyrim alchemists who hate carrying every ingredient just to remember what they do. Perfect for players who want a convenience boost without feeling like they're cheating. Skip if you prefer a more challenging alchemy experience or use mods that overhaul alchemy entirely.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Check the mod page for the default toggle key — it's not in the description, so you'll need to look there or in the MCM if it has one.
- If you use a mod manager like Vortex or MO2, install it like any other mod — it's a simple ESP/ESL, so load order shouldn't be an issue.
- This mod only shows effects you've already learned, so make sure to eat ingredients or use them in potions to discover effects first.
