Unity Collection Support

One Vortex extension for Unity Collection on Steam Assassin's Creed Unity 1. 5. 1. Version 0. 2. 0 handles revision 2's gameplay fixes, character textures, distant detail, shadows and optional videos. Revision 1 remains supported.

Setup

1. Add the Main File ZIP in Vortex > Extensions.

2. Keep only one Unity game-support extension enabled, then restart Vortex.

3. Add the collection in a new Vortex profile and keep its exact mod versions.

Use Hardlink Deployment with staging on the game's drive. This one-time extension install is still required. Original mods download separately through the collection. The included Graphics Profile is a settings mod, not another extension.

Choose both optional video entries for all 32 scenes, or skip both to keep the originals. The extension does not force your resolution or add an HDR preset.

Updating and removal

Keep revision 1's profile for rollback and install revision 2 in a new profile. Revision 2 uses Graphics Profile instead of Balanced Profile, and LOD20 + Medium instead of the old Medium-only selection. Enable only one of each. Automatic in-place upgrading has not been verified.

Close Unity before switching profiles, deploying or purging. Keep Vortex's staging folder and deployment records so it can restore originals. Back up custom Asset Overrides settings first. A new Vortex profile does not remove mods installed by hand.

Checks and limits

Support 0. 2. 0 passed 147 automated tests with no skips. The assisted local installation verified 17,080 file hashes. Separate Vortex 2. 6. 3 checks passed deployment, repeat deployment and removal, restoring original videos and configuration files. The collection export's LOD selection and loader delta were checked independently.

The published revision 2 was also installed from the website in a new Vortex profile using existing downloads and staged mods. All 17,048 file hashes matched with the 10 required components; all 17,080 matched after enabling both optional video packs, with original-video backups verified.

A cold installation on another PC, a full playthrough and performance on other PCs remain unverified. No FPS gain is promised.

Our original support code, selection metadata, artwork and documentation are MIT licensed; see LICENSE.txt. No game assets, mod DLLs or loader patch are bundled in this extension. Original mods retain their authors' terms and download pages. Report integration problems with your collection revision, Vortex version and error text. Both revisions use this same extension page.
