📋 About This Mod
SAFMM (Simple Avatar Frickin Mod Manger) A easy as I can possibly make it. Vibe coded together Mod Manager for Avatar Frontiers of Pandora that supports fat 32 drives.
SAFMM (Simple Avatar Frickin Mod Manger)
I summoned this into existance because i've got a fat32 drive and i really don't feel like formating it. Sooooooooooooo becauseeeee vortex really really REALLY doesn't like fat32 i have summoned this monster.
Mod Installation
-
[]Import mods from ZIP, RAR, 7z, TAR, GZ, and BZ2 archives. Multiple archives can be selected and imported at once.
[
]All file extraction uses plain stream copies, making installation safe on FAT32, exFAT, and NTFS drives.[]Archives with duplicate names get an automatic numeric suffix so no installed mod overwrites another.
-
[]If an archive contains exactly one "blue" folder at any depth, it is detected automatically and used as the deployment source with no user input required.
[]If an archive contains more than one "blue" folder, a picker dialog is shown so the user can choose which one to use.
[]If an archive contains no "blue" folder, a non-standard mod dialog is shown with two resolution options: wrapping the detected game subfolders under a chosen root folder (blue, dlc1, dlc2, dlc3), or specifying a fully custom destination path such as "blue/baked/characterart/player" with an option to preserve or flatten the original folder structure.
-
[]Enable or disable individual mods with a checkbox without uninstalling them.
[
]Reorder mods using Up and Down buttons to control priority. Lower priority numbers are deployed first; higher priority mods win file conflicts.[]Right-click context menu on each mod provides "Open Staging Folder" (opens the mod's extracted files in Explorer) and "Uninstall Mod".
[]Mod details panel shows name, file count, version, author, description, install date, file list, and Nexus Mods thumbnail if available.
- []File-level conflict detection runs across all installed mods. Any mod that shares a file path with another is flagged with a visible indicator in the list. The details panel explains which files conflict and which mods are involved.
-
[]Deploy merges all enabled mods into the game's "blue" folder in priority order, with higher-priority mods overwriting lower-priority ones on conflict. Uses File. Copy throughout, no symlinks required.
[]Undeploy deletes the entire "blue" folder from the game directory, leaving the game in a clean vanilla state. The staging area is untouched, so a redeploy is immediate.
[]Removing a mod while mods are deployed automatically rebuilds the "blue" folder without that mod.
[]A deploy status badge in the header shows whether mods are currently active in the game folder.
-
[]If a downloaded archive filename follows the standard Nexus naming convention (ModName-ID-version-timestamp), the Nexus mod ID is parsed automatically.
[]With a Nexus API key configured in Settings, the app fetches and displays the mod's thumbnail from the Nexus Mods API.
[]The Nexus page URL is stored and shown in the details panel as a clickable link.
-
[]DLC mods (archives with a dlc1, dlc2, or dlc3 root folder) are not supported. Because deployment works by wiping and rebuilding the "blue" folder entirely, the app cannot safely manage dlc1/dlc2/dlc3 folders without risking deletion of game-owned data. These archives are rejected on import with an explanation.
[
]Only the "blue" folder is managed. DLC content folders are never touched by deploy or undeploy.[]Each deploy completely wipes and rebuilds the "blue" folder. Any files placed there manually outside of the mod manager will be deleted.
[]The Nexus Mods thumbnail fetch only works if the archive filename uses the standard Nexus download naming format. Manually renamed archives will not have their ID detected.
[]The Nexus API key is stored in plain text in the settings file in AppData. There is no encryption.
[]There is no version update check. The user must manually update the application.
[]The app is Windows-only (WPF, win-x64).
[]There is no support for mods that require runtime scripting, DLL injection, or any mechanism beyond file placement in the "blue" folder. It only works with Snowdrop modloader file-based mods.
