📋 About This Mod
Your game must support NVIDIA DLSS Frame Generation for this mod to do anything. This is not a universal frame generation injector like Lossless Scaling or OptiScaler — it works by intercepting the game's own calls to DLSS Frame Generation and redirecting them. If the game never calls DLSS Frame Generation in the first place, there is nothing for this mod to hook, and installing it will have no effect. Check the game compatibility list before installing.NVIDIA has never officially enabled DLSS Frame Generation on RTX 20 / 30 series cards — even though the hardware can run it, only RTX 40-series and above get it. These GPUs are locked out entirely.
This mod is a fork of the open-source project dlssg-to-fsr3 (by Nukem9, GPLv3). The original dlssg-to-fsr3 intercepts a game's calls to NVIDIA DLSS Frame Generation and redirects them to AMD FSR 3 Frame Generation instead, bringing basic (2x) frame generation to GPUs the official feature excludes.
nvidia_mfg_bridge builds substantially on that:
-
[]Up to 6x frame generation (vs. 2x in the original) — 1 real frame plus up to 5 generated frames[/]
[]Rebuilt interpolation scheduling from the ground up so generated frames land at exact, evenly-spaced points in time (1/6 through 5/6) — 2x through 6x have been tuned to feel smooth and natural in real gameplay, not just technically functional[/]
[]Fixed multiple freeze bugs (entering/leaving cutscenes, resolution changes mid-cutscene)[/]
[]Added an optional Intel XeSS frame generation mode as an alternative to FSR3 (up to 2x, DX12 only, requires DLSS Super Resolution to be selected in-game)[/]
[]Added NVIDIA hardware Optical Flow acceleration (experimental, on by default): prefers the GPU's own hardware optical flow engine (NvOFAPI) to compute the motion field used for interpolation, for smoother motion; falls back silently when unsupported, with no impact on normal use[/]
[]Broad improvements to overall stability and compatibility[/]
Supported hardware
Supported: NVIDIA RTX 20 series, NVIDIA RTX 30 series
Not supported: AMD GPUs, Intel GPUs
NVIDIA-only, because the hook point is NVIDIA's own NGX / Streamline API surface.
Installation
The archive contains:
1. nvngx.dll — the loader. You need to rename it yourself before use, to one of: version.dll / winhttp.dll / dbghelp.dll / cryptsp.dll. version.dll is recommended — most game folders don't already have one, so conflict risk is low and compatibility is best.
Why you rename it yourself instead of it shipping pre-renamed: an archive containing a file literally named version.dll or winhttp.dll is a common pattern flagged by Chrome's (and other browsers') download safety scanning as a false-positive virus warning. Having you rename it locally avoids that entirely — it's not a sign the download is broken or incomplete.2. nvidia_mfg_bridge.dll — the core implementation. Keep the filename as-is.
3. dxgi.dll, libxess_fg.dll, libxell.dll — support files for the optional Intel XeSS frame generation mode. Keep filenames as-is. When that mode is off (the default), these are pure passthrough and don't affect normal use — you can ignore them if you don't plan to use XeSS mode.
Copy the renamed loader file and the rest of the files into your game's installation folder (same folder as the game's .exe), then launch the game.
No registry edits, no game file modification, no cracking required.
Uninstallation
Delete all the files you copied in (the renamed loader, nvidia_mfg_bridge.dll, dxgi.dll, libxess_fg.dll, libxell.dll). Nothing else is modified and nothing else is left behind.
Configuration
dlssg_to_fsr3.ini is optional — you don't need to touch it for normal play.
[]EnableLogging: for troubleshooting compatibility issues. Set to 1 to generate dlssg_to_fsr3.log in the game folder.[/]
[]EnableMultiFrameGeneration: on (1) by default, enabling up to 6x. Set to 0 to force plain 2x behavior identical to older versions.[/]
[*]EnableXessFrameGeneration: off (0) by default. When enabled, uses Intel XeSS frame generation instead of this mod's ow
