📋 About This Mod

Up to 6x Native NVIDIA DLSS Frame Generation on RTX 20/30, plus up to 6x FSR3-based frame generation as an alternative, and DLSS5 denoising/ray reconstruction on RTX 30.

Your game must support NVIDIA DLSS Frame Generation for this mod to do anything. This is not a universal frame generation injector like Lossless Scaling or OptiScaler — it works by intercepting the game's own calls to DLSS Frame Generation and redirecting them. If the game never calls DLSS Frame Generation in the first place, there is nothing for this mod to hook, and installing it will have no effect. Check the game compatibility list before installing.

What nvidia_mfg_bridge can do:

  • []Native NVIDIA DLSS Frame Generation, up to 6x, on RTX 20 and RTX 30 (experimental): rather than converting to FSR3, this mode loads NVIDIA's own DLSS-G implementation rebuilt to run natively on RTX 20 (Turing/sm_75) and RTX 30 (Ampere/sm_86) — the real thing, not an approximation — and now supports the full 2x–6x range instead of just NVIDIA's stock 2x. The RTX 20 path hasn't been verified on real hardware yet[/]

[]NVIDIA DLSS denoising / ray reconstruction, "DLSS5", on RTX 30 (experimental): the newest DLSS neural rendering model, officially FP8-only and locked to RTX 50, rebuilt to run on Ampere by emulating its FP8 tensor math — real, usable performance, not a tech demo (see Configuration below for the how and the fine print)[/]

    []FSR3. 1 frame generation, up to 6x (vs. 2x in the original)[/]

[]Rebuilt interpolation scheduling from the ground up so generated frames land at exact, evenly-spaced points in time (1/6 through 5/6) — 2x through 6x have been tuned to feel smooth and natural in real gameplay, not just technically functional[/]

[]Fixed multiple freeze bugs (entering/leaving cutscenes, resolution changes mid-cutscene, some games crashing on startup)[/]

[]Added an optional Intel XeSS frame generation mode as an alternative to FSR3 (up to 2x, DX12 only, requires DLSS Super Resolution to be selected in-game)[/]

[]Added NVIDIA hardware Optical Flow acceleration (experimental, on by default): prefers the GPU's own hardware optical flow engine (NvOFAPI) to compute the motion field used for interpolation, for smoother motion; falls back silently when unsupported, with no impact on normal use[/]

    []Added a Home-key frame-gen override menu: manually force a specific multiplier (Game Default / 3x / 4x / 5x / 6x) regardless of what the game's own settings menu offers[/]

[]Broad improvements to overall stability and compatibility[/]

    Supported hardware

Supported: NVIDIA RTX 20 series, NVIDIA RTX 30 series

Not supported: AMD GPUs, Intel GPUs

NVIDIA-only, because the hook point is NVIDIA's own NGX / Streamline API surface.

    Installation

Upgrading from an older version? Everything is now merged into a single `nvngx.dll`. Leftover files from older installs (`dxgi.dll`, `nvidia_mfg_bridge.dll`, `libxess_fg.dll`, `libxell.dll`, `nvngx_dlssg.sm75.dll`/`sm86.dll`) don't need to be deleted — they won't conflict. If you want to tidy up anyway, don't remove `libxess_fg.dll` / `libxell.dll`: some games ship those themselves for native XeSS support, so deleting them could break something unrelated to this mod.

The archive contains a single file:

nvngx.dll — the loader plus everything else. You need to rename it yourself before use, to one of: version.dll / winhttp.dll / dbghelp.dll / cryptsp.dll / XINPUT9_1_0.dll / IPHLPAPI.dll. version.dll is recommended — most game folders don't already have one, so conflict risk is low and compatibility is best. If another mod already claims those names in your game, try one of the others:

    • []Cyberpunk 2077: CET sits on version.dll, and dbghelp.dll is the game's own file — use XINPUT9_1_0.dll.[/]

[]GTA V Enhanced: leaves very few names free — use IPHLPAPI.dll.[/]

[]Star Wars Jedi: Survivor: must be renamed to dbghelp.dll — any other name may fail to load the DLL at all.[/]

Why you rename it yourself instead of it shipping pre-renamed: an archive containing a file literally named version.dll or winhttp.dll is a common pattern flagged by Chrome's (and other browsers') download safety scanning as a false-positive virus warning. Having you rename it locally avoids that entirely — it's not a sign the download is broken or incomplete.

Copy the renamed file into your game's installation folder (same folder as the game's .exe), then launch the game — nothing else
