Native Linux game support for Vortex

What this does

Vortex's bundled game plugins declare Windows executables (.exe) even for games that have official native Linux clients. On Linux, this means Vortex can't discover or launch those games correctly.

This extension overrides those registrations with the correct Linux binaries and paths. It's a no-op on Windows and macOS — safe to install on any platform.

    Installation

    Via Vortex (recommended):

    Download the zip and drag it onto the Vortex window, or use Extensions → Install from File.

    Manual:

    Extract the zip to ~/.config/Vortex/plugins/vortex-linux-compat/ and restart Vortex.

    Notes

    • []Games running via Proton (e.g. Cyberpunk 2077, Fallout 4) work with the standard bundled plugins and don't need this extension.[/]

      []For full Linux compatibility (INI paths, plugin load order, BepInEx support), use alongside vortex-linux-fix (Arch Linux AUR).[/]
