Kingdom Hearts 3 Support

An extension to handle mods for Kingdom Hearts III.

• []Supports Steam and Epic Games Store

  []Creates a "~mods" folder in "<game_root>\KINGDOM HEARTS III\Content\Paks" if missing

  []Auto-disables the Steam Deck "optimization" by renaming them from _0_P.pak to _0_P.pak.unusued, as they cause issues with many mods.

  []Supports the Play Button in Vortex by using the store launcher when needed.

  []Supports PAK mode and Root Deployment mode

  How to build mods with Vortex support?

  Just ZIP your PAK file and upload it to Nexus like you're used to.

  Root Deployment Mode

  You can use Vortex to provide or replace any file in the game's installation folder by mirroring the game folder structure, starting from the install root.

  Example: If you wanna do a USM mod, zip it as:

  KINGDOM HEARTS III\Content\CriMovie\main\en\mv_loopdemo.usm

  Vortex makes sure the original files are kept by renaming them, so you can easily revert when you disable a mod.

  Bonus: Root Deployment can mix and match file types, so you can bundle multiple files like USMs, PAKs and UE4SS mods in a single ZIP.

  • []All existing mods should install via Vortex like before, including FOMODs like LvD.

    []If the game is installed via Steam and EGS, Vortex will detect Steam. You'll need to manually set a new location if you want to mod the EGS version instead.
