What is this?

GoodbyeWindows is a two-part toolkit that lets you migrate your entire mod setup from Windows to Linux — without re-downloading hundreds of mods from Nexus.

GoodbyeWindows (Windows) exports your MO2 mod setup.HelloLinux (Linux) imports it into Anvil Organizer.

Your mods, your load order, your profiles — everything comes with you.

How It Works

1. Export (Windows)

Run GoodbyeWindows on your Windows PC.

• []Auto-detects MO2 instances (Registry, AppData, common install paths)

  []Select your instance and choose an export mode:

  []Full Export — copies all mod files + metadata

  []Metadata Only — exports load order, mod list, Nexus IDs (small file, re-download on Linux)

2. TransferMove the export to your Linux machine:

• []USB / External Drive — copy files manually

  []Cloud Storage — upload the .gbw metadata file

  []Built-in LAN Transfer — direct transfer over your local network with PIN authentication

3. Import (Linux)Run HelloLinux on your Linux PC.

• []Select your export source (file, folder, NTFS partition, or network)

  []Preview your mods before importing

  []Import into Anvil Organizer

  []Your mods, load order, and profiles are ready to go
