Classic 2001 Font

Description

Changes the subtitles and the descriptions of the Read input in the game. You can also alter size, names, color and background inside of the game, much like the vanilla font of the remake. I strongly recommend using High for the subtitle size.

This mod does NOT have compatibility settings with "bold" and "dyslexic".

Versions

2001 Subtitles

A recreation of the original 2001 font, with its black drop shadow. Letter shapes, proportions and spacing were matched to footage of the original game. If you're having trouble reading, I recommend turning on subtitle background and/or increasing font size.

2001 Subtitles - Stronger Outline

Same as 2001 Subtitles, with a black outline added around the letters. Easier to read in bright scenes.

2001 Adapted Remake Subtitles

An adapted format of the 2001 font that still fits the remake while maintaining the aspect of the original.

Installation

Install only one version. Extract the archive into the game folder. The files go to:

SILENT HILL 2\SHProto\Content\Paks\~mods

Compatibility

Works with English, German, French, Italian, Spanish (Spain and Latin America), Polish and Brazilian Portuguese subtitles.

Russian, Ukrainian, Japanese, Korean and Chinese are not supported. Their letters keep the game's original font.
