Longer Days and Nights - Configurable Day Cycle

LONGER DAYS AND NIGHTS

Longer Days and Nights slows down the complete RuneScape: Dragonwilds day/night cycle.

The original full cycle lasts approximately 22 real-time minutes. This mod provides the following options:

- 44 minutes - 2x longer full cycle

- 66 minutes - 3x longer full cycle

- 88 minutes - 4x longer full cycle

Both daytime and nighttime are extended proportionally. The mod does not freeze time and does not modify character or world save files.

TWO INSTALLATION METHODS

1. UE4SS version - recommended

- Configurable to almost any value between 5 and 1,440 minutes

- Can change the current cycle length through the UE4SS console

- Reapplies the value when the world or time actor loads

- Requires UE4SS

2. Standalone PAK version

- Does not require UE4SS

- Includes ready-made 44, 66 and 88-minute variants

- Install exactly one variant

Do not install the UE4SS and PAK versions at the same time. Choose one method only.

UE4SS version:

- RuneScape: Dragonwilds 1. 0 for Steam/Win64

- A working UE4SS 3.x installation

PAK version:

- RuneScape: Dragonwilds 1. 0 for Steam/Win64

- No UE4SS requirement

UE4SS INSTALLATION - RECOMMENDED

============================================================

1. Close the game completely.

2. Make sure no Longer Day PAK beginning with zzz_DluzszaDoba_ is installed in RSDragonwilds\Content\Paks.

3. Extract the UE4SS download.

4. Copy the complete LongerDay folder into:

<Dragonwilds installation>\RSDragonwilds\Binaries\Win64\ue4ss\Mods\

5. Confirm that the final structure is:

ue4ss\Mods\LongerDay\enabled.txt

ue4ss\Mods\LongerDay\Scripts\main.lua

6. Start the game and load or host a world.

The packaged UE4SS version defaults to a 44-minute full cycle.

PAK INSTALLATION

============================================================

1. Close the game completely.

2. Extract the PAK download.

3. Choose exactly one folder:

Wariant_x2_44_min - 44-minute full cycle

Wariant_x3_66_min - 66-minute full cycle

Wariant_x4_88_min - 88-minute full cycle

4. Copy the zzz_DluzszaDoba_..._P.pak file from the selected folder into:

<Dragonwilds installation>\RSDragonwilds\Content\Paks\

5. Start the game normally through Steam.

Never install more than one Longer Day PAK variant. Remove the old variant before switching to another one.

HOW TO CHANGE THE UE4SS CYCLE LENGTH

============================================================

Permanent configuration:

LongerDay\Scripts\main.lua

Near the beginning of the file, change:

MinutesPerFullDay = 44. 0

MinutesPerFullDay = 44. 0  -- 2x longer

MinutesPerFullDay = 66. 0  -- 3x longer

MinutesPerFullDay = 88. 0  -- 4x longer

Restart the game after saving the file.

UE4SS console commands:

longday status

longday set 88

Console changes are applied immediately to the active world but last only until the game is closed. Edit main.lua to make a value permanent.

Accepted console values range from 5 to 1,440 minutes.

UNINSTALLATION

UE4SS version:

1. Close the game completely.

2. Delete or move this folder outside the Mods directory:

ue4ss\Mods\LongerDay

To disable it without deleting the files, rename:

LongerDay\enabled.txt

LongerDay\enabled.txt.disabled

PAK version:

1. Close the game completely.

<Dragonwilds installation>\RSDragonwilds\Content\Paks\

3. Delete the file whose name begins with:

zzz_DluzszaDoba_

No save cleanup is required for either version.
