Fishing Sliders - Faster Bites Easier Fights and AFK Fishing

Sliders for everything about fishing in RuneScape: Dragonwilds, changed live from Mod Menu. Every setting starts at the normal game, so you only change what bugs you.

I made this for the same reason as all my slider mods: I want to control my own experience in the game, and I want you to be able to control yours. Some people love the rod fight. Some people want to fish while watching something else. Both should be able to.

The fight

• []Bite wait: from the normal 5 to 10 seconds down to about half a second.[/]

  []Fish tires faster: 1x to 5x. A sardine fight takes about 18 seconds normally; with fish tiring 3x and your stamina drain at 0. 3x it took 8 to 9.[/]

  []Your stamina drain: 1x down to 0x, where your stamina never runs out during the fight.[/]

  []Weaker-rod penalty: the game drains your stamina up to 5 times faster when your rod is weaker than the spot. Turn that down or off.[/]

Catches

• []Junk chance: less (or no) weeds and stones on the rod.[/]

  []Net catch size: 1x to 10x fish per net catch, same XP. Rod fish always come one at a time in the game's data, so this is nets only.[/]

  []Net catch chance: how often a trawl brings up fish instead of junk.[/]

Fishing spots

• []Keep fish in spot: a chance that a fish you catch stays in the spot. At 100% a spot never runs out.[/]

  []Spot respawn time: an empty spot normally takes 3 in-game days to come back. Set it anywhere from 1 real minute up to the normal time.[/]

  []Refill: a key and a Mod Menu button that refill the spot you are fishing.[/]

Gear and AFK

• []Rods and nets don't wear out.[/]

  []Auto-rebait: when your bait runs out, the biggest stack of other bait in your bag goes on.[/]

  []AFK fishing key: casts, fights the fish (pulls against it and reels when it rests), and casts again until the spot is empty. With a net it trawls for you. Press the key again, open a menu or move to stop.[/]

Install

• []Install UE4SS for RSDragonwilds (linked under Requirements).[/]

  []Drop the FishingSliders folder into RSDragonwilds/Binaries/Win64/ue4ss/Mods/[/]

  []For the in-game sliders, also install Mod Menu and open Esc > MODS > Fishing Sliders. Without it, every setting is in config.txt inside the mod folder.[/]

On Game Pass: use the BE version of UE4SS with the SCO signature, the normal build does not load there. Game Pass also installs the game under Binaries/WinGDK/ instead of Binaries/Win64/, so the FishingSliders folder goes in RSDragonwilds/Binaries/WinGDK/ue4ss/Mods/. If you install with Vortex, check that is where it ended up.

To uninstall, delete the FishingSliders folder. Turning Enabled off in Mod Menu puts every changed value back to normal straight away.

Good to know

• []Starts at the normal game. With every slider at its default, the mod changes nothing.[/]

  []Solo or host. It runs for the host of a world. If you join someone else's world, your copy stays off. Co-op itself has not been tested yet.[/]

  []Works with Yield Sliders. If you also use Yield Sliders with a Fishing rate, the two multiply together (net catch size 3x and Yield 10x gave 90 shrimp from one trawl in testing).[/]

  []More fish per rod catch? Net catch size here is nets only, because the game gives rod fish one at a time. Yield Sliders multiplies rod catches too: 3 fish per catch at 3x in testing.[/]

  []No hooks, nothing replaced. It changes the game's own fishing values while you play and puts them back when you turn it off. No game files are changed.[/]

  []AFK fishing stops by itself when the spot is empty, you open a menu, move, put the rod away or change world.[/]

  []Not sure it is running? UE4SS.log shows a line starting with loaded.[/]

Tested on RuneScape: Dragonwilds 1. 0 on rod and net spots: every slider measured before and after in game, AFK fishing emptying a rod spot and a net spot, spots refilled by the key and by the respawn slider, Enabled off putting everything back, a world reload, and about 70 minutes of play, the last half hour alongside all my other mods, with no
