Raids, Hunted, ambushes and dragons: as often as you want, or never.
One slider for each kind of world event, changed live from Mod Menu. 1x is the normal game, 0 turns that kind off, up to 5x for more.
Some players want a quiet world where they can build in peace. Some want the dragon overhead every other day. The game's own event settings only show up on Custom worlds, and they come in two groups: major (the dragons) and minor (everything else). This mod gives any world four separate sliders you can change at any time, without restarting.
The four sliders
-
[]Base raids: enemies attack your base while you are in it (5 raids across Brynmoor, Ghornfell and Fellhollow).[/]
[]Hunted: a pack comes after you at night when you are away from your base (3 events).[/]
[]Ambushes: zombie, skeleton, kalphite and Kot'Haar ambushes in Fellhollow and the Umbral Sands (7 events).[/]
[]Dragons: Velgar's flyovers, meteors and poison breath, and Fuzan's night patrols in the Umbral Sands (10 events).[/]
How it works
The game decides each event with a few conditions: a cooldown since the last event, a chance roll, and things like the time of day or whether you are at your base. This mod changes only the cooldown and the chance. Everything else stays: raids still need you at your base, Hunted still needs night and you away from it, dragons still need the right point in the story.
The mod never starts an event itself. It only makes the game's own events more or less likely.
Install
-
[]Install UE4SS for RSDragonwilds (linked under Requirements).[/]
[]Drop the EventsTuner folder into RSDragonwilds/Binaries/Win64/ue4ss/Mods/[/]
[]For the in-game sliders, also install Mod Menu and open Esc > MODS > Events Tuner. Without it, every setting is in config.txt inside the mod folder.[/]
To uninstall, delete the EventsTuner folder. Turning "Events Tuner on" off in Mod Menu puts every event back to the game's own rates straight away.
Good to know
-
[]Changes apply at once. Close Mod Menu and a short note shows the new rates. You can turn that note off.[/]
[]Turning a kind back on can take a little while. After a missed chance roll the game waits before rolling again (up to about 10 real minutes for ambushes), so an event you just switched back on may not come straight away.[/]
[]Nothing permanent. The game rebuilds its event settings every time a world loads, so removing the mod puts every rate back. A cooldown already counting down when you remove it simply finishes.[/]
[]Custom worlds have their own event frequency settings in the game. This mod's rates should apply on top of them, but that is not tested yet.[/]
[]Co-op: only the host's copy matters. Guests can have it installed; it does nothing on their side.[/]
[]Not included: the Scorned Wilderness raid is not in the game's world event list, so it is not affected, and one scripted Imaru event with no schedule of its own is left alone.[/]
[]Not sure it is running? UE4SS.log shows a line starting with listing your rates and the 26 events it found.[/]
