Strand Points 32 Unlock

Description

This mod allows you to use any hairstyle created with 32 points on hair guides for Rise and Shadow of the tomb raider, having more points increases the curve resolution and, consequently, "improves" the hair physics movement, mainly for longer hairstyles.

IMPORTANT:

-On Rise of the tomb Raider there can be some lag spikes, I have been testing it and works perfect so far, the only cutscene that has given me trouble is the one at the start of Syria where the fps dropped to 20(just skip that one or turn off the hairstyle using 32 points until you progress).

-On Shadow of the Tomb Raider after testing it, it runs smoothly.

-Make sure that the last version of both Rise and Shadow are installed before applying the patch.

-Install it only once, after installing it, the game will keep allowing you to use 32 points, there's no need to re-install it (unless the game gets updated).

-You can uninstall the patched version whenever you want to, to do it, go to the game on steam>properties>Installed files>Verify the game files (this will bring the game to the original state).

Make sure you have Python installed before starting.

1 Download the Hair Patch

2 Drag and drop the game .exe and press enter

3 Play the game

This could slightly impact on the performance on all devices since it modify the way the hair physics work.

The installation process for Shadow of the Tomb Raider is the same but with SOTTR hair patch instead.

Yes, you can use any hairstyle mod that uses up to 32 points, so hairstyles with 16 points will work too on the unlocked version.

No, if you skip the Strand Points 32 Unlock mod installation, Lara's hair will appear broken/glitched in-game since the engine expects 16 points.

No, the last version of the blender add-on by arc__ already allows you to export with 32 points on hair guides.
