Requiem Dark Vision

This preset is designed to give Resident Evil Requiem a more cinematic and atmospheric horror feel while keeping the visuals clean, stable, and close to the original game style.

The goal is not to drastically change the game, but to enhance immersion through improved contrast, lighting depth, and subtle color grading. Shadows feel deeper and more natural, highlights are better controlled, and the overall image has a slightly more film-like look without becoming overly stylized.

Sharpening is carefully balanced to bring out detail without creating harsh edges or visual noise, and colors are kept restrained to maintain a grounded survival-horror atmosphere.

Installation Guide

Where to install the preset

Copy the preset file into your game’s main installation folder — the same directory where the game executable (.exe) is located.

Example location:

...\Resident Evil Requiem\

Where to put the file

You need to copy the Requiem Dark Vision Preset.ini file into the

reshade-presetsfolder. This is located inside your main game installation directory.

The path should look like this:

...\Resident Evil Requiem\reshade-presets\

NOTE: If you don't see a folder named

reshade-presetsin there, just create one yourself and drop the file inside.

How to uninstall

If you want to remove it, just go into the

reshade-presetsfolder and delete the Requiem Dark Vision Preset.ini file. Done.
