Horror vibe new style film and graphics upgrade

Please read this carefully: The Horror Vibe preset focuses on achieving an old-school look. The color palette is deliberately dirty, dull, and decayed, with classic film grain that, whether you like it or not, adds a nostalgic atmosphere perfect for old-school vibes. It’s a very atmospheric preset, constantly giving off a sense of uncertainty. Note that the presets go through my verification process at various resolutions from 1080p to 4K, so there’s a balance for every type of resolution within that range.

The New Style Film preset is another cinematic preset, but it’s closer to an original color palette. Despite the cinematic feel, the image is clean and lacks the milkiness typically present in the game. The preset is not too demanding, and if you turn off DOF (Depth of Field), the frame rate drops are almost unnoticeable. DOF is designed not to irritate the player, although since it’s RESHADE, it doesn’t always work perfectly, so if you don’t like it, just turn it off—simple as that.

The Lightweight Upgrade Graphics preset is essentially an enhancement of the original game quality—removing the milkiness, improving sharpness, and making minor color corrections. The installation path is C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Resident Evil 2 Biohazard RE2, and that’s where you should place your chosen preset. Download RESHADE version 6. 3. 3 for best compatibility, though newer versions shouldn’t cause issues.

Expected frame drops are as follows:

• []Horror Vibe: 10-20 fps depending on the scene.

  []New Style Film: 10-15 fps depending on the scene and whether DOF is disabled. If you turn it off, the drop is only around 4-6 fps.

• Lightweight Upgrade Graphics: a mere 1 fps drop.

In my opinion, Horror Vibe is the strongest preset in this pack due to its intensity and the heavy impact it has on the game's atmosphere. I’ve included a few screenshots to show how it looks during dynamic scenes. Also, right after publishing this, I’ll be starting a new project where I’ll push the game to its absolute limits. It’ll be a next-level preset—not your typical enhancement. It’ll take time, but I’m aiming to release it soon.

IMPORTANT! These presets aren’t limited to Resident Evil 2—they're also fully compatible with Resident Evil 3, since both games share the same graphics engine. The only differences lie in the scenes themselves, and the visual tweaks between RE2 and RE3 are so minor, you’d have to actively look for them. So yes—they work for both games! :D
