Vanilla Terrain and Vegetation Texture Overhaul

Mod Description:

Experience Red Dead Redemption like never before with this comprehensive texture overhaul, designed to enhance the game’s visual fidelity while preserving its original style and atmosphere. This mod carefully upscales the vanilla textures of Red Dead Redemption using advanced AI upscaling techniques & manual editing to sharpen & enrich every detail without compromising the game’s authentic look. This mod also comes with recreated normal maps for each texture sharing the same resolution as the diffuse/color texture. I will most likely keep this mod updated to either add more environment textures or by updating textures that are included already.

Features:

4K Roads, Trails & Cliffs: Textures for roads, trails & cliffs have been upscaled to 4K, providing an impressive level of detail for these textures that have a bigger scale.

2K Terrain & Rock Textures: All other terrain textures, including ground surfaces, rocks, & general landscapes, are upgraded to 2K, adding clarity & depth.

1K Ground Vegetation Textures: Each grass & foliage texture has been carefully upscaled to 1K, offering an eightfold increase in detail that makes every leaf & blade of grass appear sharper & more defined.

Enhanced Normal Maps: Each texture now has a recreated normal map at the same resolution as the diffuse texture. This brings out realistic depth & structure, creating more realistic lighting & shadow effects on texture surfaces.

Faithful Retexturing: Each texture stays true to the game’s original design. This mod enhances the textures without changing the style, preserving Red Dead Redemption's rugged & gritty aesthetic while refining the game’s look.

Half Resolution Optional: Half resolution options for both installation methods (can be found in the optional files section). All textures share the same improvements as the full resolution version, but all modified textures are half the size (2K road, trail & cliff textures, 1K terrain & stone textures & 1K grass foliage textures). This should be helpful for people with less vram.

Future Plans:

-Add improvements to blackwater street/pavement textures & other town related terrain textures that I find around the map
