Red Dead Redemption 2 Weapon Names

1.) Download this mod.

2.) Find RDR1's root and navigate to the "game" folder. This can be done in two ways:

¹Open Steam, right-click RDR1, go to "Properties," then "Installed Files," and click on "Browse." Then go to the "game" folder

²Open File Explorer and go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Red Dead Redemption\game

3.) Make a backup of "strings_d11generic" or rename it to like "strings_d11generic_ORIGINAL" or something.

4.) Replace "strings_d11generic" with the one you downloaded.

5.) Launch the game.

WHAT THIS MOD DOES:

Changes the names of some weapons to be akin to their Red Dead Redemption 2 counterparts.

Fist -> Unarmed

Knife -> John's Knife

Lasso -> Reinforced Lasso

Cattleman Revolver -> John's Cattleman Revolver

Double-action Revolver -> Double-Action Revolver

Semi-automatic Pistol -> Semi-Automatic Pistol

Repeater Carbine -> Carbine Repeater

Winchester Repeater -> Lancaster Repeater

Henry Repeater -> Litchfield Repeater

Double-barreled Shotgun -> Double-Barreled Shotgun

Sawed-off Shotgun -> Sawed-Off Shotgun

Semi-auto Shotgun -> Semi-Auto Shotgun

Pump-action Shotgun -> Pump-Action Shotgun
