RDRFix

RDRFix is an ASI plugin that applies a set of fixes and visual tweaks to the PC port of Red Dead Redemption. All patches are toggleable via a simple INI file.

Features

• []Intro skip — skips the intro and legal screens on startup.[/]

  []FPS cap removal — removes the built-in ~144 FPS cap; optionally set a custom limit via FPSLimit.[/]

  []Ultrawide black bar removal — removes the black bars (letterboxing) in cutscenes for ultrawide and wider users. [/]

  []Physics timestep fix — corrects the hard-coded physics step from 1/30s to 1/60s for more accurate simulation. Fixes various broken physics such as the duster coat and poncho, which were previously displaying extreme shaking behavior.[/]

  []Bloom removal — removes the bloom post-process effect.[/]

  []Depth-of-field removal — removes the depth-of-field post-process effect.[/]

  []Heat haze removal — removes the heat haze effect.[/]

  []Sun flare removal — removes the sun flare effect.[/]

  []No weather spheres— disables hardcoded weather zones (e.g. Thieves Landing) (WARNING: affects both base game and Undead Nightmare and seems to disable mission specific weather).[/]

  []FOV scale — multiplies the base field of view by a configurable value.[/]

    Installation

    • []Copy RDRFix.asi and RDRFix.ini to the same folder as RDR.exe.[/]

      []Open RDRFix.ini and enable or disable features as desired.[/]

      []Launch the game — RDRFix.log will confirm which patches were applied.[/]
