Hollow RDR Reshade

This is a reshade I made for the PC version of RDR1 after playing around with several of the available Reshades intended for Reality Redemption. The problem I ran into was the available reshades either A) did very little and weren't much of a change or B) Had a ton going on and tanked performance.

This mod aims to balance those things. I went through each Reshade fx and set each metric until I achieved an enhanced image through any time of day/night and weather while leaving out some of the expensive performance-hogging enhancements that IMO weren't worth the hit on performance. This preset avoids redundant fx and leverages the PC version's updated settings. Be sure you follow the instructions for the in-game settings as this was designed with those in mind.

Goals for this preset were:

-Make a reshade preset designed specifically for the PC version and tailored to an SDR image (can possibly do HDR later)

-Give the image a more modern "look" and feel, without going too too crazy and changing it in any extreme way, partially through use of improved, customized ambient lighting, enhanced motion, and sharpening

-Maintain a similar brightness to vanilla while enhancing contrast slightly, namely at night

-Customized SSR (screen space reflections) to balance using them without too much grain or artifacts

-Utilize LUT and Color grading to enhance the color palette - namely shifting away from the green tint in vanilla

-find a balance between useful fx and performance, avoiding any fx that is more performance-heavy than it's worth

Installation:

1) Install the current version of Reshade in your RDR folder with the RDR exe

2) In that same folder, drag or copy/paste this ini. UPDATE - Shaders folder is now included - backup your current one and then replace any files with this one

4) In the in-game "Graphics" section, you'll want the following settings:

-Shadow quality "high" or lower is recommended

-Shadow softness CHSS recommended but personal choice

-Shadow blend "dithered"

-Anti-aliasing: I used AMD FSR 3 and Native AA, but you can improve performance with DLSS if preferred. Should you use AMD FSR 3, leave additional sharpening all the way down, because this preset utilizes its own CAS that looks better than that, but using both oversharpens and it starts to look crazy/cartoonish

-Motion blur set to "improved" - I played around with the various motion fx options, and found uber motion + in-game improved works best whereas vort motion blurs the minimap and seems to use more resources

As is default, you can open the Reshade menu with the home button. I added "numpad /" key as a toggle to turn reshade on and off so you can easily
