📋 About This Mod
Free RTGI with no paid Shaders. Major Update out -> look at the new pics
You don't need any paid shaders or third party assets. Just make sure to read the description.
Please, remember to endorse if you like this mod. For you is free but it will help me to enhance my work.
By using free Reshade assetts created by AlucardDH I managed to implement some RTGI into Ready or Not, alongside with ambient light correction and other usefull stuff (like a cool sharpening effect who only sharpen close object). It was meant for personal use, but mabye some of you will like it. Somehow I managed to make it work with DLSS and Frame Generation, but that sometimes will requires some tweaks.
This preset shine in close quartier area with lots of light and shadows, but it's less effective in the open, where the game has less light sources.
PERFORMANCE:
The screenshots are taken at 1080p, max graphic settings, DLSS Quality and Frame Gen enabled.
Not gonna lie, this will take up some of your fps, but not so many. On my rig ( i5 13600k and MSI 4070ti ) I can still play at 60 fps at Ultra with dlss Quality and Frame Generation at all resolution, even 4k. At 1080p my GPU load goes from about 15-20% to 24-29%
(I usually run dlss with transformer mode Preset K or J, and the latest driver update from techpowerup)
I've made no tests with AMD but I guess it's okay to give it a try.
This RTGI preset will react to light sources, and generate bounching diffuse lights based on the situation.
If you already Know how Reshade works, please read carefully the configuration instructions.
INSTALLATION:
I guess pretty much everybody knows how to use reshade by now, but I'll put the installation instruction here below just in case:
First of all download my preset and extract the file inside. Then drop it in you Ready or Not directory (where ReadyorNot.exe is located)
Download Reshade (full addon or normal version does not matter, just make sure is up to date)
Open the installer and pick Ready or Not executable.
During the installation select DirectX 10/11/12
As for the effects, you can download everything, or you can select the path to my Preset (which is now located in your Ready or Not directory, if you followed the step 1) <---- in this way Reshade will only download the assetts you need to make the Preset work!
Now you can complete the installation and open the game.
Once you are in the game, wait until Reshade is done compiling all the assets, then load your save and hit Home to show Reshade Overlay.
On the top of the overlay you can navigate between presets, so look for my RTGI preset.
This will activate the RTGI for your game.
CONFIGURATION:
Just 2 easy steps.
You need to do this or Reshade will not apply the Depth Buffer needed for the RTGI to work, and you must be in the game, not in the main menu.
