Competitive Skating - Physics & Movement Overhaul Competitive Skating is a total biomechanical overhaul of the skating physics in Puck. Designed for players and competitive leagues looking for a higher skill ceiling, this mod removes the "tank-like" feel of vanilla movement and replaces it with a dynamic, rhythm-driven crossover system. If you want the ice to feel like real ice, and you want to be rewarded for precise edge work and momentum management, this is the mod for you. Key Features Rhythmic Crossovers: Lateral movement is no longer a static speed. Alternating your left and right crossovers (Default: Q and E) within the ideal timing window will grant a "Synergy Boost" to your acceleration, rewarding players who find their skating rhythm. Power Carving: Hold the Carve bind (Default: C) to dig your edges into the ice. This puts you into a power stance, allowing for incredibly sharp turns at the cost of rapid stamina drain and speed decay. Perfect for shaking defenders or changing directions on a dime. Realistic Ice Friction: Implements frame-rate independent exponential decay. Gliding without pushing preserves your momentum naturally, while aggressively reversing your edges will snap you to a halt. Tournament-Grade Physics: Includes a custom "Centrifugal Pump Cure" to prevent players from exploiting rotational velocity to gain infinite forward speed. It also features bounded anomaly scrubbing to fully support the engine's Speculative Collision Detection, ensuring you never clip through the boards or fall through the map at high speeds. Safe Server Handshake: Uses a highly robust Netcode messaging system. The mod will only alter your physics if the server you are playing on also has the mod installed, preventing client-server desyncs and rubber-banding. Player Instructions (Client) 1.
